Help! I need my Brabus V280 valued
Hi all,
I'm hoping you guys are able to offer some advice!
I'm new on here but have had a 2002 Brabus V280 (VR6 engine) for about a year and a half.
Last month I took it in for an MOT and the tester crashed it! :eek it's been taken of by his insurers who have deemed it a category N write off as it's not economically viable to repair.
It's not that big of a hit, just the front bumper has cracked and the grill is sitting wonky compared to the lights. According to them there's no frame or engine damage. All electrics/fluids/etc seem to be intact and functioning
They've valued it and offered a settlement of 1400 (1100 after fees and excess). I paid £5K for it last year and have seen others online for £6-7K

I'm guessing they've looked at Parkers/Autotrader etc for a value and just picked the closest thing which seems to be the Mercedes (not Brabus) 2.2 Ambiente and used the value for that.
On mine the paint and interior are a little tired but it's a solid vehicle with low mileage, roughly what would you say is a reasonable price?
