2008 W639 Viano 3.0 V6 frontpipe cat replacement

Hi,

Has anyone ever replaced the frontpipe from the turbo to the flexi just before the DPF? I've got it unbolted but can't get the thing out, I've unbolted the rear antiroll bar and dropped the gearbox right down at the rear but it wont go past the exhaust manifold. Does the manifold need to come off? I don't want to attempt removing the rusty bolts if its not necessary.

TIA,
Murf

In case anyone finds this in a search I gave up in the end and removed the O/S exhaust manifold. The top bolts into the Y manifold are pretty challenging to get on to but once it was off the cat came out easily. Thankfully the nuts on the head studs came off with no drama at all.
