Sliding Door Problem

Evening All,
I've just got a a 2016 V Class, but I have an intermittent problem with one of the doors. The Passenger side sliding door to be exact.

At times the door wont open off any buttons. Key, Dash or pillar. The door beeps, and I can hear the motors trying to move the door, but its as if the catch isn't releasing. When this happens the door can be opened using the handles (interior or exterior) and it slides fully open on its own with out any problem. The door can then be opened and closed from either button or the key without any problems.

After driving, the problem comes back. Open the door with either handle once, and it operates fine. It's almost as if the the door isn't unlocking. I tried turning off the auto-lock to see if this would fix it, but that hasn't made any difference.

Has anyone got any ideas what the problem might be, or suggestions of how to fix it?
