Vito 113 CDI 4x4 bus cold start squeaking noise
I need some help, maybe someone already faced this kind of problem and hopefully have a solution for it.
After a cold start in cold weather (below 5 C°) in a few seconds a squeaking noise appears and then goes off. When I turn on the heater in the cabin (front or back or both), the noise comes back, but if I switch off the heater the noise stops.
When I raise the rpm the noise disappears, and when the engine warmed up, it is completely gone.
When I open the hood, the sound comes from driver side (left hand drive) at the back or middle of the engine, and not from the serpentine belt.
I have a couple of guesses, but none of them make sense in some cases.
I have attached a sound recording of the situation, you can hear that when the heater is on the noise is not constant, it is cyclic. It comes and goes until the engine or the engine bay reaches a certain temperature.
If you have any good idea, please let me know!
Thanks,
Gyula
