This is the oil separator and positive crankcase ventilation refresh kit.
This kit includes the updated oil separator located on the cylinder head. This is a common area for oil leaks on the M273 engine.
The oil separator, allows the crankcase to safely vent air and stop oil from escaping during the process.
If you are experiencing a loss of performance or a rough idle with the M273 V8 in your Mercedes-Benz, the PCV System / Oil Separator might be to blame.

Is this an OE replacement/ MB part? Also, what else do you recommend when replacing this part? But firstly, how to determine whether or not this is bad in the first place? Is there diagnostic to run? I know running a code check or even if it is bad, it won’t throw a code or check engine???
