evosport - Line Lock kit for you drag racing fanatics!

Go to the drag strip and try to do a burn out with your mercedes and you will quikcly find out that it is very hard. The car will rock and buck and if you CAN get it to stand still, you will kill your rear rotors!

Well, we have fixed that. Most drag racers use what is called a line lock kit. This kit will essentially lock the front brakes and allow you to release the rear brakes and apply the throttle.

The big problem however, has been that Mercedes uses a very odd-ball and rare brake line fitting. As such, a standard line lock kit will not work. We have solved the issues, and have assembled a very complete kit.

Here are some pics and videos (divx .avi files for download) of one of our CLK63 BS customers using the Line Locks:

We have made this a kit now available for your Mercedes. This is on the shelf (in stock) and ready to go.

Here are pics on the CLK63:

This kit is $395. Please contact me to order. It is not on the website yet, sorry.

Thanks
Brad

This system is well worth the money. Greatly simplifies getting a good, proper burn-out and the truth of the matter is that it is also protecting your $$ pricey rear brake pads and rotors. As you all know brake pads and rotars are not cheap. I'm sure many of you have stood in the burn-out box and seen flames, fire and/or sparks coming off the rear brakes or see them glowing bright orange, well this will eliminate that problem. Everything appears to be very high quality and the "trigger" tucks nicely out of the way in the glovebox when not needed.

Thanks again Brad and Evosport

Brad, will this kit work on all models of Mercs? I have a C32/SLK32 based Crossfire. How about that?

Thanks!

I did not see it in the picture, but to anyone who installs this you really need a switch (rocker or covered toggle) inline with the momentary to act as a master arm....so that you cannot accidentally bump the momentary at an inopportune time.
