Here are some pics I took comparing the whites with the blues. White on the left, blue on the right. I'm running 8000K HIDs also. Will need to swap out the sidemarkers tomorrow.

Off Topics Question

Hello guys
I thought before everyone get to install and test these LEDs,I might be able to ask one OFF TOPIC question as everyone here seems to be professional with mods so i could get a quick answer.
I am on international shipping so i got to wait little longer.

I have C220 Diesel and i am about to get the Quad-Exhaust system for my car.

My Question is will i lose the warranty if i modify the Exaust and if so would it affect the whole car parts or just the exhaust system?
I still have 2 years warranty as the registration date is SEP2009 so i really dont want to lose that.

The only group i suppose they are good in it is CKS Perfomance which they have office in UK.
This is the info page about their Exhaust system:

http://www.cksperformance.com/Merced...ories&_Styling

And this is a video showing it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jg6ZYOyLUyw

I believe they are going to make a "y" type system so they wont touch the Muffer.

Sorry guys for bring this up, its just i have seen lot of pp in this thread who got quad system and here in UK there isnt much info about mods and....

I will send my feedback ASA i tested the LEDs.

thanks again for the help

as i feared. like the last time i bought LEDs, they dont fit into my housings. right now im debating whether i want to grind them down or sell them to a member...

hey mike what grit sand paper would you suggest me to sand it down with. i think its off by like .04 or something. that is what the last seller told me so i figure in in the same situation?

If you can get me sizing (length and diameter of entry) I can see if I can get a design that will fit the CLK. There are other designs they have available and these were measured specifically for 204s.

haha lucky you, you have cks performance right there. they make great exhaust, at least from what ive seen on youtube. you need to check with your dealer on that one tho. my sa told me that i can do whatever i want as long as the mod that ive done doesnt cause the problem. but iono about the rest of the dealers out there. well i talked to my service adviser specifically.

but in honest truth, they should be able to void your warranty for that. if anything, if your exhaust throws a code, then itd be your fault. but i think thats to the extent of it.

maybe others can chime in and give you their perspective as well.

didnt mean to double post i just saw this as i posted the other thing.

this is what ijdmtoy sent me last time. so apparently its .007 larger than the bulb. lol
The stock 2825 bulb wedge width is 0.365 and the OBC Error Free T10 LED bulb is 0.372

lol do you think you can check your supplier how large is the one you got for the 204s and if it were possible to make one that is .364-5

When we say larger, I'm assuming you mean longer right? so you need something that's shorter? Or are we talking diameter in that you can't get it to fit in the housing hole? And for the record so we don't pull a Mars rover snafu, we're talking Inches right?

it will not fit into the housing whole so I need it shorter in diameter. I do not know if he meant inches I will give him a call an update. But from eyeballing it, It would look to be in inches. I doubt it would he metric because .3 m is too big and .3 cm is quite small.

bheng: I missed the buy so I am very interested in them, which ones did you buy?
AZN C300: If bheng are not the right ones for me, can I buy a set from you?
I want the ones that match the HIDs, not the blue one.
Excuse my newbie question but do you just stick the LEDs in the socket like a regular bulb or is there something more intrincate involved. By the way, thanks for the hard work you have done. The community owes you big time.

yeah, just PM me if you want to buy from my leftover group buy stock. And yes, you just plug them in like a normal bulb, but they only work in one orientation, so plug it in, turn on the light, if it lights up, you're good. If not, turn off, pull out the LED, flip it around, plug back in, and try again.

as an update: where you able to find out the width of the base of the bulb was? im looking at a online diagram of the 2825 bulb as it as a width of 9.5mm. i guess i'll go out and buy a mm measurement tool at kragen or something to get to the bottom of this. lol

lemme know if you find out more info on your end. and when i search 9.5mm i get .372in. so im assuming my first number of .365 was in inches. lol but i will going to get a micrometer to know for sure.

.007 inch....that's like .02cm...really small. Well, if you want to be industrial, you could try shaving the circuit board on the edges. You're taking .01cm of each side which (don't quote me lol) shouldn't touch on any of the circuitry.

well im waiting my car to cool so i can measure out that 2825 bulb. but i found something interesting. the led measures at 9.22mm. which is .363 so it should slip on to fit. i wondering if my housing is different. if anything, i'll shave off the sides to fit and get it to work. if not my loss. rofl

i was wondering. the city light bulb originally should be the same bulb you use right? t10/2825? i dont understand why they wont fit. lol o well. more diy job for me =)

update. i measures the 2825 bulb to be 9.04 mm and the LED to be 9.22 mm. thats a .18 difference which was .007in. rofl.
im am debating whether to sell this or shave it down. haha i might use it as a LED side marker

Azn_C300,

Wondering if you have any more "white" led bulbs? I am assuming these will fit the city wedge type bulb in my W211? Let me know, I just received my ijdm led bulbs and they are a bit too blue for my taste. I'd rather have my hid low beam more "bluer" than my city lights and preferably match perfectly which would need some luck because of the different kelvin temps each manufacturer has.....

Thanks!
Frank
