I want to upgrade my fog lights to HID. I noticed on the website an option for cancellor and relay harness? are those necessary? is the relay harness so i don't have to splice wires (aka plug-n-play)? I'm not that electrically inclined...

You don't need the relay harness but you have to have the cancellor/capacitor. It not really a plug-n-play when it come to the foglight bulbs depending on your foglight style. You have to find a way to hold the bulb into the housing. The kits for both of my cars (Clk500 & Slk55) does not come with anything to hold the bulb into the foglight housing. I have to design a "ring" to hold the bulb.

Yup........my 1st kit 2 years ago, all those were free but you have to request for it. When I bought my 2nd kit last year, I were surprised they charges me extra $10 for the capacitor !!
Why.........? When they know the kit won't work on Mercedes without the capacitor/cancellor.
