which 114/115's have the v8
I have been browsing cl for the last little while for my next project and i want a 114/115..i have seen a few of them on cl with the V8(2 to be exact) one is a 72 280 with a 4.5 v8, i dont recall the other one.
question is, how rare is this and how come it does not list V8's as a motor option for the 114's on wiki?
and where can i go to do more research on these beautiful classics?

No W114's or W115's came with V8's. If you have seen some, they were modified by their owners. These case came with 4 cyl and 6 cyl gas engines, 4 cyl and 5 cyl diesel engines.

The model was known as the stroke 8 ( /8) due to the introduction year being 1968, but as wbain says, none came with V8s - all 4s and 6s.
One modified with a V8 could be an intersting car.......
