Brand new used 1970 280S "Garage Find"
Anyway, I sold it and went MB'less for awhile. But I have way to many MB shirts and hats and stuff. I had to buy aniother one...

Kidding aside and long story short...
I came across this sweet 100 PERCENT Arizona Mercedes 280s. It was in the middle of a restoration when it ended up in a garage and stayed there for many years.
After some chatting with the "owner" I booked a flight to PHX and flew down there in 24 hours. 30 hours later I was driving it back to San Francisco.
More about the car later. Just enjoy the pics.

Thanks. I searched for a couple months. Looking at many many cars. Hiring appraisers from out of state to look at some cars too. Spent some time and money to get the right one. And then this one appeared!
I dont know the total mileage. The odometer was not working. But my guess is somewhere around 250K. The motor had about 3k miles on it. Completely rebuilt. The block was Magnafluxed. The head rebuilt. Carbs... everything.
So far I have replaced all of the suspension bushings and installed four new Bilsteins. I also dropped the suspension 2 inches (no haters!)
I just installed a set of older and refurbished BBS 16x8 wheels. I rebuilt the factory AC and had it recharged. It blows cold to 52*
I have a few more things I want to do but now its wintertime and I am building a bathroom in my Motorsports ManCave.

Here are some updated pics.

So yes, it will fit pretty much any of the older cars. My car is a stock ET32 (?) and these sit in there perfect with NO RUBBING AT ALL. And I am lowered 3 inches too.
