Hello guys,

I am buying a 1971 300 SEL 6.3 with 50k miles.
I like this car a lot however I dont know a lot about those cars other than they are rare and I need your help if you can tell me if this car still original.

Any feedback is very well appreciated.

I will not ASSUME that you've already discovered that Wikipedia has an EXCELLENT page on these, and it links to ANOTHER Excellent Wiki page that deals exclusively with the engine. These are VERY RARE cars (6,500 units produced), & you'll HAVE TO find a Seriously Excellent Mechanic to work on it, as very few current day Mechs have ever SEEN one of these, & I've heard of DEALERSHIP "Techs" being puzzled because they can't find the Eng Oil Dipstick; it's Dry Sump!
I had made payments on 1 of these (same ext paint, blk leather int w/sunroof!) when I lived in Vegas 14 yrs ago, but a sudden divorce caused THAT one to get away from me ... looking again ... Cheers! [URL="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_300SEL_6.3"]
