AMG enhancements to my E55
Authentic AMG black birds eye maple wood shift knob. This is standard equipment on the Japanese Spec. E55 AMG.

AMG Grill Badge
AMG grill badge. The '99 spec. E55's have this badge on their lower front spoiler. I felt that the '00-'02 models also needed some AMG identification in the front. This was my solution.

Where did I get these?
I got the AMG shift knob from a Mercedes specialty shop while on a business trip in Japan. It was quite expensive, over $300 because it is an authentic AMG-Japan part made specifically for the E55 AMG. (The box included the mercedes-amg part number for verfication.) I also got the badge from the same store. It's the authentic AMG badge that is used on the C36 AMG and '99 yr. E55 AMG front spoilers, and is probably available from any Mercedes dealer. The door sills were imported via Autoclass. http://www.autoclass.net

I have a supplier for AMG Birds Eye Maple shift knob and door handles here in Aust. I paid approx $100 US for shift knob and $200 US for door handles from Car Shine www.carshine.com.au
I am sure the guys are happy to ship world wide. I usually deal with Craig, craig@carshine.com.au

At least your car is a real AMG. I saw an idiot with a CLK320 and had at least 6 AMG badges on the car. Yet, he kept the CLK320 badging.

JamE55, When you going to have that project car done? Is the holdup the mink seat covers, the wheelie bars or the fuzzy dice with AMG imprinted on them.

Sorry for the hold up the the 757 rear wing won't fit in my car?! LAMO!! I'm still in the process of painting the fuzzy dice and the mink seat covers are still being stitched! lol!
