W210 Power Issues
At about 36K I started losing low and midrange power. Check engine light came on and found MAF Sensor and adaptation out of limits. Fuel Pressure checked OK. Dealer Replaced MAF.
Car performed fine until 37K when it lost midrange again and the check eng light came on again. Car was having misfiring on multiple cylinders. Delaer Replaced Crank sensor still had bad codes, Checked intake runner flaps for proper acuation, OK, Removed intake, cleaned pivots and reinstalled, car ran fine with no codes.
At 37.8K lost low and midrange power again. Dealer replaced plugs, plug wires and Engine Control Module. Car ran fine with no codes.
Now I have lost power again and dealer is scratching their heads wondering what to do. Told me they would research and get back to me. Just wondering if any other W210 owners may have any other ideas as to WTF is going on!
So far I am out close to $3K with no solution!
Let me know if ya got any ideas!
BTW I live in Atlanta and have taken the car to Atl Classic Cars and MB of South ATL.

They have replaced mine twice this month. It effected my low end power.
I do hear lots of W210 has MAF issue....
I once tempted to buy another '01 E55 w/ 175K miles (wow!!!!) but w/ no records of MAF problems.... if you ask why, it would've been my project car and it was very cheap... $15K (before haggling and it was more than 1 year ago) flawless ext & int.... just high mileage. Owner claimed to use it as daily driver from Monterey to Sacramento for almost the life of the car.

I changed my MAF at 50k for the first time just as a preventative measure. From the folks I know that have 210 55's (four people) we all have very reliable cars with no problems other then the window regulators and MAF.
I am sorry you are throwing alot of money and not getting results. Could you have gotten some bad fuel, plugged fuel filter, dirty fuel injector, maybe 02 sensors gone bad? These parts sound like potential culprits that will not cost big $ to replace, I bet it is something simple they have so far overlooked.
MB warrants their repairs for at least 12mos/12,000 miles, no?

I think if you replaced your MAF less than 1 year ago, you should be covered by warranty....
Good luck!
