210 E55 need a little help

Hey guys. Just got my E55 210 and I have couple of questions for you.

Does COMAND have a backlighting for buttons?? (pwr, navi, dials e.t.c.)
Cos mine buttons are not lit.

I've tried to setup clock on the dash and it appears that I have to set them up on COMAND and it will automatically do the same with dash clock - but it's not working – I’ve got different time at dash clock.

Also my steering wheel buttons Volume up down are not working.
They work when you do stuff on the instrument cluster but they won't make volume higher or lower.
What do you think could be the problem? I took COMAND out and put it back once - could I've not plugged or plugged badly on if the connectors??

My front windows will not go auto - down, back ones do go on AUTO.
Do you know if needs to be programmed or smth? (Battery was disconnected at one point). Do you know how?

I have dead pixels on my inst. cluster Temperature only has like couple working pixels - is there a fix to that??? Or do I have to replace the cluster??

How long do I need to let K&Ns to dry so I don't screw my MAF with oil??
Are couple of days enough???

Thanks for your help!

This car is very sensitive to power fluctuations. Disconnecting the battery will cause you to lose your window synchronization and a host of other problems. The dealer can re-synchronize the system for you.

issues

The manual and threads here if you do a search will help you get your windows resynched, you can do this yourself.
The power sensitivity issue is true and is probably why you are having the Command issue this will probably have to be resolved at the dealer.
Two days in the sun should be enough to dry the filters...
The radio volumne issue is probably a programming thing as I think you said they do work sometimes so likely they just need programming.
Cool car I am sure you will enjoy it.

Figured out those windows. That was easy.

Will try to fix COMAND on my own - I think I haven't connected on of the plugs properly - cos the Dash-COMAND link is not working.

Thanks for advice.

I wanted to ask one more thing -my wood, especially one where the shifter is has lost the shine compleatly - do you know if this is common? Can it be fixed??
When you run fingers on it - it is not smooth....not all the wood but some pieces are that way.
