210 E55 interior colors

Do you guys know what interior colors there were on 02 E55??

Anthracite - is it black or grey??

I looked thru pictures of cars on ebay and found grey, and those two tone red, white.
Was there a black color that year??

I need one little piece for my rear door and dealer only want to sell me the panel for 1200.
I found one place that has panel and they say it's black.....but I never a saw a black color on any car or any picture....help me out please.

I'm sure it's dark grey.... I think that's why it's called anthracite grey (very dark grey close to black).... I'm sure yours is the same as mine and even the two-tone (the grey/black part).

What I'd suggest.... go to the dealer.... check the part.... compare it w/ yours... and write down the part number. Doing that, there is no way for you to buy wrong parts from anywhere.

BTW, your rear door should have an airbag too, right? Just curious.

Good luck!

Yep it has - that's the reason I'm replacing the panel.
Cos my airbag cover was really badly torn.

Funny thing is - that the book which everyone uses doesn't have AMG part numbers for rear doors panel. It does have those for fronts though....
I got the part number from my panel and today bought the same thing ;-)
Kinda lucky I should say. Our cars are rare ))
And what I like - I payed like 180$ - and dealer wants 1200 (1500 list).
Amazing huh??

And what pissed me off - that 99 E55 - you can buy just a cover for around 150. And for 00-02 you can't do that.

If anyone needs a panel for their car without the aibag cover - let me know ;-)
Thanks for advice Zonik.

I guess your baby was the problem maker No I don't need one right now.... the back seat was even rarely used....

BTW, '99 model I don't think has rear air bags.... that's why it's cheaper I guess.

Dealer always charges like crazy.... my A/C LCD went bad.... and asked one from a dealer... got a quote something like $200-$300.... went to eBay... got one from '02 for a mere $50 incl. $12 overcharged shipping

I know - some parts are reasonably priced and some just cost huge money!

And if it's amg - man you have to be really creative )))
My front bumper cover was cracked - and replacement costs 900$. (regular - 300 form a dealer), so I had to find a friend who does really nice, careful jobs on exotics - and he restored my bumper cover for 300. He even grew some parts of it.....like a cosmetic surgeon.

Yeah Ebay and car-part.com are really good sources.

I needed a mirror glass for my Merc - 550 from a dealrship.
Bought the whole mirror on car part - for 130-150. Took the glass out - and will probably sell the rest on Ebay for 100$ )))
