Personally I think one of the best E55 AMG belongs to JamE55 been looking at those pics daily ..Those wheels... *drool*

 

I agree, it is one of if not the nicest E55. Those rims are killer and i was
re-reading James' Sig and i noticed the HRE's had a Brushed aluminum finish. Is it the same as a machined finish? I had Brabus monoblock 5's and they have a machined finish to them, in the day i couldn't tell the diff between silver and machine, but at night they give off this awsome brilliance to it.

Not really sure what a machined finish is but the aluminum brushed is what comes out standard when they produced the wheels. And Peter @ wheelexperts added the clearcoat finish too so that when i do a car wash there's no waterspot that clings to the mesh. Maybe Peter can give you more info on this. This is just my thought.

So you didnt have to pay extra for the finish? You just paid for the rims and the clear coat? Cuz according to the HRE site, the price lists has a brushed aluminum finish for the center and outer rim including a clear coat, priced at $158, same price as the high polished finish. But this is the price list for the standard series not the RDC. Maybe peter can clarify this.

I have to say that JamE55's car has got to be one of the best looking W210 55's around. The only complaint I have is that there are so many Silver E-class on the road. My friend that also works for MBZ, had a White with Charcoal/Grey E55 with SL600 2-piece AMG's on it and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! I am speaking bad about the color of the car I drive, but I personally love E55's & CLK430's in White/Charcoal (Tried, but could not get my CLK with the options I wanted in White)!!!! Still, JamE55's car is really eye-catching, especially with the wheels added, Great Job James!!!!

Thanks for the compliments. About the color i think the Silver is the best on the E-class. I agree that there are so many silver W210's out there but that's why i've decided to do some mods on it to make it stand from the rest!

I think they are just jealous or out of their minds. The only thing i might change is the body kit, i mean AMG body kits are everywhere especially for the W210. But still AMG makes one of the best quality and designed kits for Mercedes. Brabus makes a good quality body kit but its not agressive enough. Renntech does sound good, Hey James maybe phase 2 can be a Renntech Widebody EV 12.

BTW did you get any info on the brushed finish we were talking about earlier in the thread?

Was actually thinking of doing the bodykit but imho the AMG bodykit is good enought for me. As far as the brushed finished according to Peter it was extra but not really that much extra if ya know what i mean!

 

hmmm never noticed that....well there are some people who don't like modified cars, it has to be one of those.

 

Used to be like that til i saw some moded out Benzs and then got hooked into it myself. Now look at me i'm a mess!
