One year with a HPS supercharged E55

Update: I give up! I'm pulling the HPS system off the car. The idle problem is getting worse and worse. The car jumped out into an intersection by itself (I didn't have my foot on the brake hard enough) while I was waiting at a light. I don't want to drive the car like this anymore. I'm worn out with sending the ECU in for mods, waiting to get it back and finding nothing is any better. The E55 was a great smooth running car before the HPS kit, now it's a great road car that can't be driven around town. Maybe the HPS kit worked for others, but not for me.

You don't have a good LOCAL tuner? Before ripping this stuff off, I'd get a local tuner who knows what they're doing to sort it out.

I like going through old threads. In this case, very old. But I feel like in reading a book with the last ten pages missing. I was hoping for, I don't know, a happy ending. Maybe an exciting explosion, or maybe a switch to a giant turbo set up. But nothing, oh well.

All I can say is I'm very happy I didn't go with their system. I lived in Lompoc/SB area when I bought my car and the HPS guys were in the basement at the LA Auto Show. I talked with them and they had a good promo package etc. But I was a little gun-shy at that point having just purchased the car. I wish I had known about this forum back then. I've decided to just leave mine fairly stock other than the already performed resonator/secondary cat delete and x-pipe install. I may get a ECU reflash and maybe pulleys but have heard our cars don't take well to under-driven pulleys.
