Noisy brakes, price of a brake job?
The squeaky brakes are telling me that it's time to get the dreaded 35k mile brake job.
Can anyone tell me how painfull it is gonna be? I'm in the SF Bay Area, fwiw. Do I need to go to the dealer to preserve warranty on other brake components, or can I go elsewhere? Is anyone but the dealer up to the job? Will I need new disks as well? Ugly... I just had all four wheels done on my spare car (2000 Crown Vic cop car monstrosity). Get this: four wheels (pads, resurfaced the original rotors at, get this, 100k miles!) all labor and parts = $249! Ahh the rewards of driving a POS domestic fleet vehicle

Now, what can I expect to shell out for a four-wheel job on the '05 E55? Any reccomendations for a good non-dealership shop in the bay area, assuming no warranty implications?
Sincerest of thanks,
Skeeter
Long time indeed! I've been LOVING the RENNtech work you guys did. The car just blasts off like the Millenium freaking Falcon! I guess that ECU update that everyone suffered through (and that I had done ONE DAY before brining you guys the car) was offset by the pulley and RENNtech ECU tune.
Another question for you: does the RENNtech ECU tune undo the top-speed limit imposed by MBZ? I have a good reason to ask

But I've been happier than happy with the car since you guys did the pulley and tune. Crazy happy! BSEG

If you can help me set up a tune up with the dealership that did the RENNtech work (hint-hint), I'd be a happy man.
Sincerely,
Skeeter
