Snow Tires: Dunlop SP Winter M3 or Blizzak LM-25s?
My tire dealer is recommending the Dunlop SP Winter M3s over the Blizzak LM-25 for my E55 (3 years ago, he recommended Blizzaks for my CLK55, which I thought were great).
He's an expert and he says the Dunlop is a better tire for this application, works well, quiet.
Your thoughts?

Can you guys actually drive in the snow with proper tires? This is really blowing my mind. I see little 200 pony IS300's stranded in the friggin snow, can't imagine what 560 pounds of torque does on slippery pavement.

Didn't have any trouble last year with my Dunlop M3's, but the winter wasn't too severe. I made it throught two harder winters with my 540i with the Dunlop M2's. Last winter, I did use the 'C' mode on the transmission when it was slippery. You'll start out in 2nd, which helps, but also the shifts are less abrupt and there are fewer downshifts. I don't have any experience with the Blizzaks, but I'm thinking about ordering some of the Revos for my recently re-acquired 2000 Honda Accord.
I have no qualms about driving the E55 in the winter. With the stability control on, the tail-end stays right where it's supposed to be. Also, I feel pretty secure in an E-class if some dumbass plows into me. I had a chance to get my old Accord back from my little brother recently and took it because I'm thinking about a P-car when the lease on the E55 is up.

Have anyone try the Yokohama AVS Winter snow tires? I have to order a set this week but not sure which ones to get. The Yoko AVS Winter is cheaper but my only concern is are those tires any good comparing to the Bridgestone's.
