my W210 X-pipe mods/resonator delete

hey guys, took a quick pic of my underbody with the x-pipe mod. what do you guys think. the way i had it done, was to be as straight as it could be. reducing the amount of bends will increase exhaust flow, thus increasing horsepower. so this is the best they could get it.

the shop bent the muffler and messed up the alignment of the tips. so i went back and compained, they ended up cutting off the tips and re-welded them to proper alignment. looks great now. actually, better then stock. stick out just a lil but flush with the bumper line.

heres a pic of the under body:

Sound clips please!! I've got the Eisenmann race exhaust on mine and have been thinking about cutting out the resonator. I'm wondering how much it's going to affect the sound.

yes please post some sound clips, this discussion has been going on forever over at benzworld and nobody has yet to post any clips.. my brother is getting this done to his car soon as well, problem is none of the shops here want to fool with it.

i'll try and get a good sound clip, the problem is that the camera cannot catch the whole "essence" of this mod... but trust me, you will LOVE it!

GlassJaw, with your eisenmann, it should sound even more wicked! i think there is a sound clip of an eisenmann exhaust on a benz on youtube. go there and do a search putting in "Eisenmann exhaust". the CLK in that vid doesn't have the resonator (i believe)...

i have to go out of town for a lil today, when i get back, i'll try and shoot a vid real quick...

Do you think that the x pipe is better than two straight pipes to replace resonator? Does it effect on performance and flow or does it only muffle the sounds?
