CD Changer

Hey everyone,

I have a problem with my cd changer for the 2000 E55.

When I push the cd button on the stock radio it says either no cd, or no magazine.

I put some cds in it today, and I heard it take the magazine with the cds. When I pushed the cd button it tells me no magazine.

I tried to take the magazine out to retry it. I pushed the eject button, the button blinked and nothing

Does anyone have any experience that can help me to understand what's wrong? Do I need a new cd changer?

Thanks!

My '01 does likewise about once a week. I then have to push the eject button while tapping on the cartridge to get it out. When I reload it's usually OK. Mine also skips regularly over bumps - like about once every few minutes. I'd like to just get rid of the changer and install an ipod.

Yeah, pretty much what mine does. I just can't get the cd holder out to get my cds. I plan on getting a aftermarket cd player in. I have an ipod with a fm transmitter right now. Work great... no skipping.
