Good luck my friend... I'm selling mine and it looks like I'll be selling it to CarMax... the offer is quite good (not that far from my asking price - still reasonable and within my expectation).
So my suggestion, check w/ CarMax.... see how much you could get at worst. And go from there...
I wish I had 3 car garage... so I could keep it.

Just Selling.....No Trading
No thanks.......just tryin' to sell it is all. I have 3 cars and rarely drive the E55. I just detailed it yesterday and fell in love with it all over again....but I will remain detached......lol!!!!

Yeah... at least you know the worst case scenario.... they only give you 7-day offer... so when that expires, you need to get the car re-appraised if you decide to sell it to them. Not sure how re-appraisal affects the offer price.
The funny thing.... I had been having lowballers but when I told everyone the lowest I would accept and the deadline, real offers started to roll in.... now the car is sale pending (to be picked up and paid off tomorrow if all goes smoothly
).

Car Now On Ebay
I took my car to carmax yesterday and they weren't offering me near what I wanted.............I just put it on ebay yesterday. The number they gave me was disrespectful for an extremely clean E55, so I am stuck on selling it as a private owner. My friend does alot of business on ebay, so I put it under his account. What number did they give you? If you got $20K or above (or slightly less), I'd suggest you let it go to CarMax. Less hassle....
One BIG minus point to your car is the rust bubble. The rust itself may have spread to a larger area than the bubble itself.
eBay would not give you good offer. The best offer I got from eBay was the same as CarMax - that was after I explicitly put CarMax offer on the description. Before, $18.5K top.
And my car does not have rust.... slightly higher mileage, no nav.... but have phone & voice comand.
One loaded (nav + vent seats) car near me w/ upgraded chip, suspension, 48K miles, EXTENDED warranty, NEW tires, NEW brakes got sold for $23K. How did I know this? One of my prospective buyers who looked at my car in the end decided to purchase that car instead. So I was quite happy when I got blackjack for my car (slightly more than CarMax) and know that the car will go to a good home.
But either way good luck! Just don't be disappointed if you cannot get the price you want.
