E55 AMG exhaust - How long does it last?
Whilst my car was getting its wheels aligned, I was able to get underneath it & have a good look at the underbody. It all seemed to be in very good condition, particularly the exhaust. Is it a complete stainless steel system? It looked just fine. Just wondering, as if I should ever need to replace it, I'm sure it's expensive
I know some people have replaced the exhaust to get a more sporty sound & perhaps a bit more power, but has anybody had to replace it because it was just worn out? Or will it last forever, like my love of AMG?

From what I understand through a friend at MB: If your exhaust goes bad within the first 8 years or 80K miles, MB will replace it for free regardless of warranty or no warranty. Anybody else heard something similar?

well yes it's covered under emmissions warranty 8 years or so sounds right
now depending on road conditions/climate, salt on the roads, sunny states, all have and impact on how long an oem exhaust lasts. 10 years though should make it easy...
