ipod solutions?

I love using the ipod, but I am wondering if there is a way to hook it up directly to the Nav radio in my 02 E55 without using one of those cigarette lighter FM hook ups?

if you have nav, hook it up in the glovebox to the mini jack and tune to the aux. input on the nav. unit. otherwise i think an aftermarket stereo store has a device that deletes the cd changer and allows you to connect it that way.

I use one

I use the minnie jack in the glove box with my ipod. No ipod battery charger, but it's cheap and effective, the volume could be a little louder as well. The sound quality isn't that bad.

I looked in the glove box today. Maybe I'm blind, but I can't see this jack anywhere. Could you provide a specific location?

My jack is on the left side of the glove box, You said you have Command, use a flashlight. It's on the left side of the glove box (when your sitting in the car) It's small just a 3.5mm minnie plug.

Sweet. Found the jack, you do need a flashlight to see that thing. I assume the AUX button is the blank one above the nav screen? My button layout just above the screen looks like this:

[NAV] [CD] [AM/FM] [ ] [TEL]

So once an ipod is plugged into the jack, you then press that blank button and you should be able to control your ipod through the display?

You Cannot Control The Ipod W/ The Command, Only Play Sound Through It. Hit The Service Button And Use The Dial To Select Aux And Your Set, You May Also Be Able To Use Voice Activation,i Never Tried That, To Access Aux. Pull Lever And Say Auxillary And See What Happens.
