I don't drive hard on the streets, so you won't see me flooring it light to light, but if somebody wants to play...
My feeling is that this car was designed to go very fast on the open freeway a la The Autobahn, so I think it enjoys being driven that fast in the open. Clears the cobwebs from the engine so to speak.
Streets are probably a different story as the car is so heavy that I doubt it can be good to be a stoplight racer. That's what EVOs and WRXs are made for.

was the brake job. Next tires, fronts are going fast.

i talked w/ my MB adviser and he says the biggest problems w/ the AMGs are ones that are babied and never rev'd up the way the engines were designed to run. the key is to rev it to higher rpm and enjoy some nice fwy driving to get the engine to flex its muscle. like human beings working out at the gym, regular exercising is very good.

The car looks absolutely beautiful. It runs strong BUT BUT
I cant help to grit my teeth everytime the car SHIFTS, BRAKES, TURNS, SKIDS, traction control on or off or what station the radio is on. This car SCARES me. or better yet, this car SCARES my wallet. In the past 20000 miles is when this car was sentenced to the enhancement of ME. I stand by Das Germans all day long on all of their cars, but i think mine was made in Canada or something. Gentlemen I have grown to HATE this car.
The downhill spiral came when i hooked up staggered 19's on the car.. Well
as you know, it was too high so then came the springs (eibach) F*ck Eibach They have their kit numbered wrong so when you try and get the springs that you want, they send you the front ones correct but on the rear it is backwards because you end up with the rear springs for the AUTO LEVELING CAR. So needless to say, they are shorter in the back. Well I didnt realize this until 2 sets of rear tires in 4 months then the rear end whine, then the control arm bushing , slowly the diffy and FINALLY the transmission!!! Piece of sh^T car is stuck in second now, and i want to light it on fire!!! To sum it up.......
BMW IS A MUCH BETTER CAR HANDS DOWN
(if you are going to drive it in the autocross rally everyday in orange county)
These cars cant take it, nor were they built for it, NOR can you make it that way!!!
This is not your fathers mercedes ........ it's your GRANDFATHERS!!! because they are the only people that will get reliability and security from these cars. Because mine is sitting in the garage begging for the dealership because i would rather light it on fire than take it to fletcher f*ck jones. I should just go park it through the front window of eibachs building.

(84,000 dollars for this 98 amg e420) Something doesn't sound right already.
