Traction and stability control systems
Hi all,
I need to know if the traction and stability control systems on a W210 E55 can be switched off. And when off, are lairy, smokey antics an option?

The Traction Control can be switched off (warning light appears in dash /!\), but MB technology still seems to butt in to "protect" the car. That said I can garuntee you that smokey antics still can and will happen! Donuts, burnout, drifting are all possible!

I don't remember what it's called but you have to put the car in dyno mode or something like that to get it to completely shut off. There are instructions on how to do this in here if you search.

I think you have to unplug something under the hood (drivers side). That will completely turn of traction control. However it also will disable the ABS, since they are controlled together. I am not 100%. Double check with another W210 guru.
