E55 Electrical Problem

2000 e55... came out on morning and the battery was dead. jumped it in a couple seconds and was fine for about a week. thought maybe i left something on but it happened again.. replaced the battery and about a month later same thing. tries to crank and dies?? jumped it and it started immediately. two weeks go by with no problems and then again?? sounds like an electrical problem but seems very strange how randomly it happens? its been good for a couple weeks now, just waiting to come out one morning and its dead again? anyone have a similar problem or know where to begin with this> thanks !

I had a similar problem. I took it to a mercedes mechanic, and it was the headlight switch. Not to say it could be the same thing for you...but who knows.

I would definately get it check out by someone with a code checker.

I do have one question...does your alarm go off at all?
