Hey E55 Kev, This is what I posted in January on the General Discussion board:
I just recently purchased an extended warranty for my 2001 E55. I bought it through the dealer that sold me the car. It extends my warranty for 48 months. I have heard that the extended warranties being offered now are only for 36 months - but I don't know this for sure.
I paid a total of $2200. This was a better price than what my local dealership was asking for (FLetcher Jones - Las Vegas). Is it worth it? I would only answer in the affirmative if major maintenance bills end up being covered by this warranty.
You have to buy it before the first year of ownership is up.<<<
Also, E55 Kev, I beleive there was a dealer in Chico, CA that would sell these things at a very good price, over the phone. The person to talk to is Lisa, and I recall she worked in the Finance Department.
