Messages from Car Computer

Hi,

I am receiving the following messages displayed on the Car Computer, can you please advise what these messages mean.

- Engine Oil Sensor - Visit Workshop

and

- Engine Oil Level - Not When Engine On.

The above two messages are making me worried. I took it to a mechanic, he could only remove the Service B message; please help.

it probably mean the sensor monitoring your oil level is faulty and when you try to check your oil level while engine is running you get the second messaage.

The Oil in the Tank (Petrol), or the "Engine Oil" ?

Is it worth worrying about ?

'98 Mercedes W210 E320 wagon
Similar problem

My '98 E320 said "Oil Sensor Defective" so I had it replaced. A couple of weeks later the same message came on. I needed a new battery, so I got a new one, and the old Oil Sensor message has never come on again. Is there a connection?
