Getting my car Dyno
I have an appointment this saturday to get my car base line before they install the Kleemann Stg 2.
My car is Bone stock except for the K&N filter. Sprint Booster don't count so any guesses what she put out?? She currently make 354HP & 390ft/lb Tq per my owner manual. If she make 280-285 rwhp than I'm happy:D:D :zoom: |

...depends on what kind of dyno. mustang dyno I would guess about 280 ± 5 whp since it's MY2002...maybe a little less with the 19s
Who are you getting to install the Kleemann kit? |

The kleemann supercharger kit that you are getting is it the most recent model? Is it brand new? I'm thinking that's the second generation which is the roots type correct? |

Yes this is a brand new kit from Kleemann USA. It is the 2nd Gen Eaton kompressor. The Eaton superchargers use a "closed", or sealed oiling system, which is serviced every 100,000 miles. Come with the E430 style airbox. And Matrix will modify and put the E430 engine cover over it.
:D |
how much did the kleeman kit sit you back?
|
$15,000 for everything, no tax :D

How does the dyno get a max top speed number if the car is limited? Is your car delimted Peter?
|
:zoom:I was told the computer read the speed from the speedometer which is taken from the front wheel. During the dyno session the car speedometer never move.
Any how, the computer don't know how fast the car is moving to engage the 155mph limit. SO the engine kept running unit it hit redline than another program kick in and back the engine off. He told me if i have another 300rpm til redline the engine could hit 200mph easy. But i doubt the car will hit that speed if it was actually moving because of wind resistant (drag), road condition etc.. . btw, all your dash warning indicator light turn on like a christmas tree after the dyno session.:mercy::mercy: I was alittle worry, but he told me that normal because the computer was confussed of what just going on. He told me to Just drive for a few min and it will turn off. Sure enough as soon as i leave the parking lot it all turned off. :zoom: |
Nice numbers :y Tell me, is that Kleemann Stg 2 you are installing just a bolt on kit, or do they open the engine and change somethings like pistons or so? How many HP should a Kleemann Stg 2 give you??
Thanks... |
Just out of curiosity, why did you chose to buy the Kleeman kit when you could probably sell your car and with that 15K get a w211 e55?

But thats just me  :D So i deceided to keep this one until it rusted out. SO far I already dump over 25K into it, i could of bought a w211 E55 from the begining but I like W210 look much better. This will be my daily driven car. I'm auctually looking into buying a 1-2 yr old low mile Porsche 911 TT, the new 997 body style but they all over 120K right now. I'll buy one when they are around 80K. Oh well, what 6-months paid..:D :zoom::zoom: |
cant wait to see the rwhp and trq numbers when it gets done :y
i am from washington too, and am thinking about buying an 01-02, just out of sheer curiosity would you mind sending me a messege with how much this set you back? some days i just want to go fast, does that make me bipolar:zoom::smash::D |
 :y
|
congrats! I for one know what it's like to get blown :D
When I got my 99 mustang GT a Kenne Bell twinscrew supercharger it felt like I was a civic, the car became so light! I got 408rwhp and 409 lb and I still think it's too slow :smash: |
Nice numbers....stock!
|
your numbers are actually a bit lower then that, your 4th gear numbers are what matter, that is your 1:1 gear, you got in the low 290s which is good and what its supposed to be roughly for a dynojet. On a dyno dynamics you will usually read between 270-280 b/c its a true loading dyno vs. inertia drum. Also the smoothening needs to be set higher on the dyno its recording too many spikes & surges.
congrats on the good numbers. Either way good numbers |
my stock 01' (only mod is x pipe resonator removed) dyno'd 300rwhp and 333rwtq. hmm... i even had heat soaked engine bay... it was on a dynojet if i recall...
overall though, great numbers! and the car looks sick too! congrats! Aj |
Thank guys,
They are in the process of installing the Kleemann Stg 2 as we speak. I can't wait to get it back this weekend. There was a delay because the intercooler (heat exchanger) was damage during shipping. Kleemann had to ship a new one from Denmark. They also found my mass air sensor voltage was low at idle. I did notice the idle was was a little rough but it did effect the driving in anyway all week and on the way there but I had them replace it anyway. I was wondering if this rough idle was before or after the dyno session, can't remember..hum. :nix: |
dyno results and pics pls :D
