OK, so I finally did it......
After inquiring with my local dealer, Euro Motorcars in Bethesda MD, they said I would be 17th in line for an 04 E55, that was dis-heartening, then HBL in VA said they could get me 12th but that they had a small allocation relative to Euro. I finally got the salesman where I originally bought the car (Isringhausen Imports), and he promised me one of the first ones at MSRP, I think Iam like 3rd or 4th there. Needless to say Iam excited, so dont sleep on the orders guys if you want one of the first ones, good luck!!!!!

I put in an order with American Service Center last December.
I am amazed you got that good of space out in IL, they seem like a big volume dealer for all the ads they run in autoweek. You must have pull.

I've bought a few cars at ASC. They are arrogant, but they get the job done for me. If you find a class sales rep, no matter what dealership it is at, it makes a big difference.
I can't believe you went all the way to IL w/o even getting in touch with ASC or even the Richmond dealer...and I think there are just a couple of dealers in the sticks of MD. I would still call around and see if you can locate an allocation closer. But DON'T give up #4 ---
