Lug Bolts question

Hello to all,
Wondering if any members have used these type of Lug Bolts on their after market wheels?

http://www.ezaccessory.com/PhotoGall...e=98%2D0170LGA

What I am concerned about is the fact that the area of the cone seat is much smaller than the traditional cone seat bolts...any thoughts or comments? Cheers

Those are Japanese tuner style lugs. Overtime it get rusty inside the hole where the key is inserted. Many time they only make a few set of key that would open any of them.

While back I have those tuner style lug on my 02 Maxima and I lost the key. Went to a local wheel shop to get replacment and they fould a key for it. I didn't even buy it from them in the first place

Very good point about the rust Peter, thanks. I thought they might work only because they come in the exact length of threaded shank I need for the new wheels but I will feel safer with the OEM style lug bolts. In addition to the rust issue, it is because the tapered seat is about half the size on these vs. the OEM style ones.

If the mating surfaces don't look like the OE (original equiment) one or those that came with aftermarket wheels, don't use them. The mating surface should have full contact along the entire area, not just a narrow ring.
