I'm trying to attempt to repair broken cup holder and I can't figure out how to remove.

if you are talking about a W210 E55, you pull it out straight up.

The prob with mine is the arm won't swing out and the flip door is in the way to pull out straight. Is there another way?

just reach down into the mechanism and give a tug straight up. Its held to the bottem of the well with a couple of plastic fingers which should snap out.
When you put it back in, fold the holder to stored position and set it down in the well. Press down and the fingers should snap in.
