I am putting Iforged wheels on my car after they have been powder coated and what have you. As some of you know the wheels must use this seemingly flimsy plastic huncentric ring to be central to the Hub. Since I would like to maximize the track, I called Iforged to tell them I am thinking of making completely custom spacers to be hubcentic to the hub one side and wheel centric to their wheels on the other side via the flange/lip. This way I can remove the plastic flimsy ring, to my surprise they say " NO you will get vibration that way " ! Am I missing something here? How is it that substituting Aluminum in lieu of plastic be worse?

they probably just don't want to get involved, they can't guarantee their wheels with mods done to them
hre makes them hubcentric, no need for rings
iforged and dpe require rings like you have btw
