Diameter of front hub?

I bought a set of spacers which should fit our front hub...unlucky for me, it doesn't. the spacer is a 66.6mm (fits on the rear) but the front hub (with the ball looking thing popping out) is slightly larger.

So does anyone know the exact size of the hub in front? i will then drill out the spacer to fit..

thanks all!
Aj

AJ , I thought that the hubs are the same size front and back, 66.6 mm , if memory serves, the fronts are a little snug more than the rear. Just be careful, the bulb sticking out is the cap for the wheel bearing..If you are going to enlarge the spacers for the fronts, make sure it is done in a machine shop, to keep the spacer hub centric. Also , remember to clean the face of the hub really good with a wire brush to make sure the spacer fits clean and flat against the hub.

Max,
thats what i thought too! but its not, and the spacer does not fit at all. i'd say a 68mm would fit perfectly yet still be hub centric.

i work at a machine shop so i can have them bore it out, won't be an issue...

maybe i'll try the wire brush and hammer the spacer on. perhaps it was just really rusty on there! who knows...

I wouldnt hammer the spacer in AJ, you might squeeze your Bearing cover/ cap and thats not a good thing, what spacers brand did you end up getting ? I am surprised it is too tight . You are putting it in with tip on the outside , right? Just asking.

im not sure what brand it is, but it looks to be of great quality. machined out of aluminum. light but sturdy.

hehe..no, i didn't put it on backwards! hahaha... it has a counter bore inside of it AND a lip on the out side so the rim is hubcentric to it. fits in your wheels PERFECTLY!

i'll get measurements this weekend and see what needs to be done. i rough up the hub with a wire brush and try again...

That is very weird...I thought the hub are the same front and rear I need to check the spare tire, I wonder how it fit the front and rear if it hub centric

I have a full size 19" spare tire, I'm assuming it fit the front and rear..
