ALIGNMENT PROBLEMS ON e55
I just purchased a 2000 E55 and it was pulling to the right so I got an alignment done and it still pulls to the right. The dealer said that they did the alignment but the car will still pull because of the type of tires I have. My E55 has brand new michelin pilot sports. If anyone can help me on this or has expierienced something similar I would truly appreciate it. By the way the car is an ultimate rocket. I used to own a ML55 and there was no comparison. The E55 I would say is the fastest 4door I have ever driven.
Congrats on your purchase! Unfortunately this pulling to the right is a long time problem for most MB's. I've heard a few people in the same situation and think it's just like the way it is.
Btw. If you think the car is fast now wait til you get a Kleemann supercharger then you'll really know what that car is capable of!

Thank you for the reply. I am actually considering the Kleeman supercharger. From what ive heard I will be at 500Hp if I get it installed. That is unbelievable and it would probably be faster the the new E55. Personally I like the look of the present E55 over the new one. It just has sleek look to it. I think I will drive the car stock for about 6 months so I can get used it then I will be heading over to kleeman. It is already very fast especially with the esp off. I stepped the gas halfway at a traffic light with esp off and my neck just shot back like I was on a roller coaster.
WOW. 560hp is freakin amazing. How is the quality of Kleeman superchargers in compared to Brabus or Renntech. Where is Kleeman located at. I am in San diego CA. By the way you got some awsome wheels on your silver E55.
Yes 560HP at the crank! As far as quality they are pretty good. I haven't heard anything bad so far. Kleemanns main office and workshop is located in Colorado. Since you're from SD think the closest dealer you can go to is www.evosport.com they are Kleemann authorized dealer and have worked on many kleemann cars.
Thanks for the compliments on my wheels! Think we're having a GTG/meet in June. You should join us! Also think the meet will be held at Evosport in Santa Ana.

alignment
on my 01 55 the car would drift, rather than pull tothe right, enough so that I could just allow the car to exit a highway by itself. It drove me crazy for three months.
BEnson mercedes in metairie la, did some adjustments to the castor or camber, I'mnot sure , which helped a great deal. If you'd like to persue this try contacting Robert Taylor, my service advisor, or Todd, or J.P. and perhaps they could fax the settings to you or your mechanic. Probably should talk to them first, though.

My 98 E430 drove my crazy too - pulling to the right. The tech at my dealer told me it was a common problem with the W210. They had to experiment with the setup to dial it in. Setting it to factory specs would not solve the problem.
The E55 is a beast - this past weekend I was showing off for a friend with the traction control off trying to spin the tires - took a corner and nearly spinned the car 360 - the rear end had a mind of it's own.
The Nitto NT-555 I have on the rear are damn near spin proof - they just put the traction to the ground for forward movement - no squealing!
