wheel/offset question
ruBenz: With the tight fitment, it really begs the question, what other Mercedes wheels will fit the W210 E55 without issue?
fangtl, take a look just above the front wheel at about 11:00 o'clock. There is a suspension bolt that sits very close to the top of the tire. That is a tight fit. Going beyond OEM 31mm ET (offset) will place the front tire even closer. I have used 35mm ET aftermarket rims and barely fit a credit card in the gap between the suspension bolt and the tire. At 44mm ET, that bolt will probably rub the tire. Also, few aftermarket rim designs (other MB OEM designs included) will clear our larger brakes. With that said, applicable aftermarket rims designs (other MB OEM designs included) on our W210 E55s are absolute minimal. And, I won't even get into lug bolt issue. Good luck.
