how should e55 w210 engine sound?
I notice that engine does not sound smooth, i notice some ticking and its not the spark thingy or whatever its called i hear it on my gf e320 so I know that's normal on mercedes but this is different Im concerned with ticking noise seems to be on the passenger side of the motor more. Even with the hood closed I can tell it kinda sounds odd. Now I took the car to Mercedes dealership and they told me that noise was normal on an AMG car. Is this true or do I need to be concerned here?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I was really worried there for a little that I might have a messed up engine even those it does pull like a freight train.
I did find this http://www.mercedesshop.com/Wikka/M119OilGuides looks like that will get rid of the noise if someone wants it done, otherwise sounds like it is no problem leaving it the way it is.
Thanks for the input guys

Ok guys I think i figured out the noise problem, I don't know for sure if it was the lifters or something else but I did find a way to make the noise go away.
First: Seafoamed the engine thruegh vacuum tube (noticed maybe 30% reduction in noise or maybe ot was in my head)
Second: after only 2000mi after oil change after looking at the filter i noticed sludge and residue of some sort, Oil also looked dirty. So today went and changed the oil once again with Penzoil Platinum Synthetic. Right after change , engine sounds the same. I took the car out and ran a few 1/4 mi runs came back and a miricle happened! 80% of the noise is gone, I even had my gf come and listen if the car sounds different and its confirmed, its quieter.
I suspect that maybe sludge builds up over time and causes lifters to stick or something of that nature that has to do with build up of gunk.
my car is a 2000 e55

common people that picture even has square headlights if you pay attention.
Somone here know about that?? maybe the 124 forum have the answer right?
Maybe is "mouse food" for its not eat the engine harness???? hahahaha

Im 100% positive the engine is making less noise. Im thinking its because of gunk built up that might be related to slow driving of the previous owner and 15,000mi oil changes . After my driving aggressively gunk came loose and the noise stopped.
I just cant figure out why it stopped after an oil change after only 2000mi on fresh oil..
