Aftermarket or factory?
I'm going to need to replace the exhaust manifold gaskets on my 01 E55 when I swap the headers. Should I go to the dealer for this stuff or is there a good parts supplier in the aftermarket?

I don't know if other header manufacture make their own gasket or aftermarket but Kleemann use OEM Mercedes gasket and header bolts on their header kit.

If you need parts ASAP, head to the dealer or a local parts distributor. If you can wait for shipping, order them online or mailorder. Place I order some parts from is not a sponsor, and I don't work for them or anything: autohausaz

We make our own gaskets which are much stronger and last longer and they are in one solid piece per cylinder bank, however we do not sell them separately. I'm surprised that the others don't upgrade the gasket design since the stock ones are pretty weak.
