2008 EVO X GSR
MAF's go about every 30thousand miles and cost 500 from the dealer but can be had for under 200 from autohausaz
Front brakes are expensive around 250 per rotor from the dealer and can not be replaced with anything but oem, unless you buy a BBK or something
Random sensors will go and cost probably 100+/-, like crank sensor, cam sensor, accel pedal sensor. I had to replace all three eventually, the pedal sensor was very expensive and i remember it cost around 500
Check all the vaccum lines/ rubber hoses for dry rotting and what not... my car when i got it need a bunch of new hoses.
I don't think there are to many other things that always go wrong, but i have only have this car for a year/30,000miles
This is a great car and very very special, good luck with your search!

99 E55 AMG
Remember, although these beasts are 8-10 years old and range from 10k-18k. They are still $70,000+ cars to maintain/repair...
P.S. Expect to spend Benz money, if you want to own a Benz!

AMG = ALL MONEY GONE!!!!
Actually the engine is pretty bullet proof, just get a good PPI before you pull the trigger.

Most reliable car I've had so far (more then my lexus even?), only thing that failed on me was the PSE pump which I got a replacement off ebay for $50 and installed it myself. Other then that just oil changes and other fluids.

I am sort of disappointed with the tire wear on tires after 20k miles, but for all the fun I've had, not a bad sacrifice.
