BAS/ESP Lights

Leaving my driveway yesterday the BAS/ESP lights came on. The car drove and stopped normally but the light stayed on until i turned the car off and on again. It's happened twice this month. Any ideas why?

Could be your battery or brake switch.

Speaking of ESP (not to highjack your thread) but, I was coming around a loop going 40MPH and my ESP kicked in. IT applied my brakes twice pretty hard while I was still on the gas. It scared me. My tires never lost traction so I was confused, plus I always drive with my ESP off in dry conditions. I not sure why this happened? Any idea?

On the W210 there is no complete OFF button for ESP.... So what you felt is normal..besides what are you doing taking hard turns without ESP. Your not that skilled of a driver if ESP still needed to assist you .. LOL ; ) hope you don't drive like that with this up coming meet (you might get left behind) hahahah

Sorry off Topic- yes brake switch cheap and DIY vey common

HAHAHA! I know it doesn't turn it off completely. But I take this turn 5 days a week heading to work... this is the first time it ever happened. I was barely hugging the road with TOTAL control.

Hey, which meet are you speaking of? AND where were on you Saturday? I thought you were going to cruise with us....

P.S. Just purchased the Sprint booster off Pete! Can't wait!!

Doesn't the fuse under the rear seat disconnect the ESP completely?

I had the same problem last year. I just disconnected the battery for couple hrs and the lights never came back!
