hi guys,

anybody know how i can get the part # for my '99 E55 driver's side mirror with the FOLDING function?

i've checked the MB Russia club online parts catalog, but the indicated part number (2108101916) is the same for BOTH folding and non-folding

i know best would be to go to my dealer and give them my VIN and ask for the part#, but believe it or not, the MB dealer here in my country is crap and they will NOT give me the part# unless i buy the part from them

i've checked online at various parts retailers, but haven't found anything that clearly indicates the part for sale has the folding function. have already wasted some money on an order that turned out to be wrong...

help?

 

I got my 99' E55 used. How do I check if my mirrors fold?

 

I assume they auto-fold when the car is put in park. I've never seen this on a US spec W210.

 

No! the mirrors not fold in P position! have a switch in the center console near the mirros control switch, to open/close them. is not an auto function. is more common in the Euro's. I dont have the part # friend, but i'm sure someone can help you here..

i also saw one e55 here in philippines that has this option . it has a switch on the center console i think its for parking option...

 

to fold mirrors, you need to get the frames, harness, switch and wood panel. I would suggest talking with steve for a complete kit.

 

What holds the mirrors on? My passenger side mirror is loose, if you bump into it nearly comes off!!!

 

yah mine too i think someone myt have bump into my mirror while in the parking lot.
