Well, I drove all the way to Houma, LA to race for a while and then see the rain ruin a great day!
On the plus side I met James Cannon and his lovely family, also my401. All I can say is WOW, James's car is awesome, his best time today was 12.12 @ 117 mph (for what I remember)
It was a lot of fun, and it wasn't that far, 308 miles to get there from my house to downtown Houma, just under 5 hours.

On my way down there I had my fun with a WRX, go read the complete story on the Kill Stories Forum.

My best pass at the track was 13.270 @ 104.87, the track was very sticky, if humidity hadn't been that bad i would've done better, and so does James, he had his best 60' and 330' times ever, but then humidity didn't let him build up more power down the track (not to the two of us)

I did too have my best 60' time ever at 1.955 and 330' at 5.566 (damn humidity!!! )
I could've run 13.1ss!!!!!! Ohh well, there is always a next friday in Houston.

Thanks for the pics. I am originally from Houma and was wondering exactly where you guys were making your runs? I left a few years ago and don't really remember any drag strips there.

I used to do the Houston-New Orleans I-10 run all the time - it was a fun and pretty quick run before they started tearing up the interstate. Are they still doing all that construction and one-lane nonsense?

The track is "No Problem Raceway" in Belle Rose, LA, not too far from Houma (~40 miles) off Hwy 70.
Yes they are still doing all that construction all over I-10.
