Free i did it at my own shop haha. But i did'nt take my mechanic and i more then 3.5 hrs for both pully and header. So u should look somewhere around 3.5 to 5hrs max at a labor rate of 65 to75 dollars.

Thank you for your kind words bnzouvr, we do value your patronage. It is unfortunate you never got to enjoy them fully due to the premature death of your car. Look forward to providing you goodies for your next MB .

SLK55 AMG
be aware that after putting on custom headers on my SLK55 AMG, I began having catalytic converter problems resulting in check engine lights, needed to put on high grade convertors to solve the problem

AMS isn't around anymore. Looks like they shut down in 2011.

Any chance that you took measurements of the AMS headers? The flange thickness, each of the 4 ports, and the collector end?

I didn't take any measurements unfortunately. I should have done it at that time

If I purchase the EBay headers, the ones that look like the AMS ones, I will take measurements and start a new thread.
Maybe someone else took measurements of the Kleemann and AMS headers.

Definitely. The eBay ones looks good and the gaskets are one piece which make them a lot easier to line up. Like a broken record, I can't stress enough on sanding down the flange nice and flat before installing them.😊

Going to put them on a CNC milling machine to check for trueness and if necessary, mill the surface flat. I'll post that process also.
If, (if) I buy the headers.

Yeah, you know I will get them....

I received the headers today. I will create a new thread with my findings.

* also found a shop with a chassis dynometer.
* also found a source for x-pipe, 45 degree, straight pipe, removal and install of exhaust

Awesome! Beside to do a before & after dyno starting at a lower rpm if possible. I'm curious to see the gains you make
