2000/2001 E55 for ~$40K?
#2
I think you might have to up your price range a bit or move down to a 99 model. A loaded 2000 E55 in good condition has a blue book value of about $47-48k in a private sale. Granted, this is blue book value and the E55 market varies, but as a ball park $42 will get you an excellent 99 fully loaded.

check out this link, if you haven't been on ebay in a while.
I also think your price is only slightly low - $43 to $45m is more likely. If you do find one for less, beware of flood/collision/lemon cars... also, I'd stay with the 2000 [warranty and svc still in effect], plus the front air dam is more aggressive looking, imo.
good luck - and let us know how you do!

Also, does anybody know if the extended warranty is transferrable to the purchaser of a "starmarked" car?
