Any tips for getting bodywork done onmy E55?

Sadly, my new (2002) E55 needs some bodywork. The trunk and rear bumper are dented, as well as the area around the license plate. The trunk still closes but not completely. Any tips on getting the bodywork done would be most appreciated. I hope to get it done well (so the car looks like new) and also hope that I won't be without my car for too long. It would also be nice if I could drive a nice loaner car while they are working on my car. I have not been through this process before...Any tips on how to achieve some or all of my objectives? Thanks much!

Also, I am in Silicon Valley. If you can suggest any particular body shops, that too would be appreciated. Are the MBZ dealers in the bodywork business?

sorry to hear about the damages... you should check with your local Benz dealer(s) about where they recommend for trusted bodywork... Benz dealer(s) usually don't do any bodywork... goodluck.

ones too fast according to CHP!
We have a body shop in NorCal we use. They actually are involved in our Speed World Challenge program with us. They specialize in high end cars as well and can do miracles! I would trust no one else!

Check my link for EMC Collision, a bodyshop in the bay area that I recommend. The info is under my link section on my page. I've used them before on an M5 I use to own and they did excellent work. They also do work for the local MZB dealership and a local tunershop, Streetwize. Speak to Jaime Valdez and tell him I sent you. He used to do the bodywork and painting himself so he knows what he's talking about and he's easy to get along with. If you use them let us know how it turns out.

C63s coupe
Stevens Creek Dodge...

Their shop is in Santa Clara, near the air port. A friend in the business recomended them when I needed an E420 seriously detailed and he was moving his shop to out ot the area.

That $350 was the best investment I could have made. Note, I said serious detailing, as in fixing major exterior and interior issues and then making the results look beter than any $80 car wash detailing I have ever seen.

The first person to look at the E420 paid $500 over top Blue Book. We looked it up her copy, but when I said I would stick to my asking for at least a week or two yet, she just said she wanted that car and we did the deal.

I had SCD pull my CLK55's badges and do other work on my wifes cars. Insurance companys seems to love them too. When my wife totalled a Nissan, CSAA asked if I have a preferred shop and they said SCD was 1st on their list too.
