Cat Help...

I Might Have Posted This Twice, But Her Goes Again...

You Guys Helped Me Out With Some Aftermarket Cat Replacments... (Replace with a nice set of 300-cell metal core cats and you will be set all for under $300 installed), But When I Went To Purchase Them, The Guy Stated He Needed To Know The Size I Needed...

Does Anyone Know The Opening Size For The 1999 Mercedes E55 Amg, Or All The Stats I Need To Order These Cat Replacements...

Thanks Again.

If I'm not mistaken, it's 2.5 inches inlet/outlet.

Stock is 2.25 but 2.5 works well as well. Any good exhaust shop will be able to make the pieces work (sleeved welds (?))

Does the ebay vendor have the cats back in stock?

I Don't Know, That's Why He Needed The Size. Which One Do You Think Is The Best. I Want To Stay As Close To Stock As Possible, With No "Long Term" Issues.

2.5" will do fine. stock outer diameter is 2.35" roughly so its .15" gap that they can easily fill in with the mig weld.

secondaries, front cat piping is even smaller, its roughly 2.0" OD inlet and I believe 2.25" outlet (I'd have to double check but that's about right).

Where can I find aftermarket FRONT cats for our cars?

You can try Fast Intentions H.F.C. 300 cell metallic cats.
