Engine code?

Hello again
Does anyone know the engine code of these cars to enter into a diagnostic computer?
My friend has the WOW system by Wurth but it wont talk to the ecu. We have had this before and found that manually entering the engine code instead of allowing the software to connect to it allows access correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i cant find the code anywhere on the engine, its normally on a sticker on the cambelt cover of most cars lol.
Its a 1998 euro e55.

Thanks

Marcus

The Mercedes codename for the engine is M113. I'm not sure if that's what you need, or if it's something different. I've never seen a plaque like that before.

Hi thanks for you reply but thats not the code, i think it would probably be worded better as the ecu code that the diagnostics uses to identify which ecu it is talking to.

Thanks
