I need to replace my Cats!! anybody have a solution for us CA residents. with the new codes we cannot just replace them with Hi-Flow cats.

I would if I could get someone to hack off the old ones. But will have problems next time I go to smog test and they check for numbers on the cats!

I think that if you look up a CAT that your car can use in CA, then you can find a shady shop to put them in for you. Smog visual shouldn't be a problem as I've never heard of them checking the CATs. My friend used this method in his Acura TL when the old CAT caused him to fail.

Since when was this new codes enforced? Didn't hear anything about this. Go Random! Didn't give me any problem on my last checkup.

Do you have someone that will cut your old ones out and put the randoms in?

Magnaflow sells 50state legal OBD2 cats, Just get one of theirs. It won't be as good as a high flow metal core cat, but it should do the job.
