I definitely would not use this in the transmission or power steering system. Those two systems are very picky about what oils they take.
As for the engine, I probably wouldn't use it either. Mercedes recommends Chevron Techron as the only fuel system/engine cleaner. I know some people have used Sea Foam, which is generally well regarded, although not specifically recommended by Mercedes. I don't have any experience with Auto RX.
I would probably start with Techron. If you feel there is an actual problem that remains (the car is running rough or you remove the heads and see fouled valves) I would try Sea Foam. Unless you have a reason to specifically try this stuff, I wouldn't. It seems like it can do more harm than good.

Hello,
I used auto-rx in my 97 e320 and 94 e320. It cleaned the valve train on both cars as viewed from the oil fill cap. There were not any dramatic improvements in performance or fuel economy but I wasn't trying to solve a specific problem. I just wanted to clean the engine. I will try it next on my 308. Here is a link to a s500 application

Note that auto-rx is not a fuel additive like Techron

When I used it I added the autorx then changed the oil and filter after 1500 miles. After another 1500 miles I changed the oil and filter again. The website has directions for various applications. I think it will work well for crank and rod bearings .
